Our hay is cut using dicsbine mower conditioners. The discbine allows us to cut hay earlier in the morning our later in
the day while the hay is still wet from the dew. This allows us more drying time in the small windows we have to make quality
hay in the humid NJ climate.
The conditioner on the discbine conditions the stems of the hay to allow moisture to escape
from inside the plant.
The hay is then tedded to allow the hay more air flow and sun to help speed drying.
Our hay is baled using New Hollland 575 small square balers. These are the most high capacity and reliable balers on the
market. They are equipped with on board moisture meters that take moisture readings on the hay every 3 seconds. This allows
us to separate any wet bales and guarantee that you will not get a moldy bale.
The hay is then stacked with a New Holland
Stack Cruiser. This pickes up 160 bales at a time and stackes them in the barn for us. Allowing us to bales thousnads of bales
in a day, and not having to worry about workers getting to tired to finish the job.
Hay is then loaded onto our trucks with a forklift equipped with a special hay grab. This grabs each layer of hay from
our stacks, 18 bales at a time, and loads them onto our trucks. This speeds up our loading time allowing us to get more deliveries
done in a day, and better service for you.
We can delivery up to 200 bale loads on our gooseneck trailer, and smaller
loads on our flatbed truck. We have a 50 bale minimum for delivery. Tractor trailer loads are also available.
